The
Gusman Concert Hall
contains a professional
audio recording control room overlooking the concert hall.
This studio contains a 36-input Sony MXP-3036 automated
mixing console, a 24-track Sony APR-24 multitrack recorder,
and 2-track analog and digital recorders.
In addition, the studio is equipped with timecode
synchronizers and video recorders so that students
studying film and video making can post music, effects,
and dialogue.
Students using this facility can also record live
concerts ranging from small jazz groups to symphony
orchestras.
An adjoining studio area is used for critical
recordings requiring a near-anechoic acoustical environment.
