Gusman Hall also houses an audio maintenance facility. Teams of faculty-supervised student engineers keep the studio running properly by repairing equipment, using maintenance reports logged by student studio users. This maintenance shop is the place where students can gain a hands-on knowledge of the real workings of various audio and electrical components. A number of computers, equipped with DSP development boards, are also available in this studio. In addition, many graduate students use these facilities as a home away from home, when working on research projects.
