Barbara K. Frankfurt, Lecturer (Dance), received a B.S. degree from Eastern Michigan University and an M.F.A. from the University of North Carolina Greensboro. She was the dance rehearsal director, as well as performer, choreographer, and an original member of Fusion Dance Company and Dance Miami, two of South Florida's first modem dance companies. She also has taught, performed, and choreographed for the Houston Contemporary Dance Theater. Certified with New York's Labonotation Bureau, Frankfurt currently teaches advanced modem technique, Pilates, folk dance, and ballroom dance. She is the resident choreographer for UM's annual Summer Contemporary Dance Workshops for middle and high school students.
