CHUCK BERGERON

As a bassist and composer, Chuck has released 5 CDs of his original compositions and arrangements. The most recent - “My Take” - features John Riley, Charles Pillow, and pianist Phil Strange. For the last 6 years Chuck had been the bassist, and now musical director, for Warner Bros. recording artist Kevin Mahogany.

Chuck has performed, recorded and toured with a wide range of Jazz artists, including

Joe Williams, Stan Getz, Randy Brecker, Dave Grusin, Patti Austin, Joey Calderazzo,

Rick Margitza, Buddy Rich, and Bob Moses. He also spent 9 years as principal bassist

in the Orchestra at Madison Square Garden, and maintains an ongoing 20-year affiliation with The Woody Herman Big Band.

Chuck holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Jazz Studies from Loyola University in New Orleans, and a Master’s Degree in Studio Music and Jazz from The University of Miami.
