a student of Silvio Scionti, Carlo Zecchi, and Vladimir Horowitz. He
has appeared as soloist with major orchestras in North America, Europe,
Asia, and Australia under such conductors as Bernstein, Ormandy, and
Maazel. Listed in The New Grove Dictionary of Music and Musicians, Davis
also is a recipient of New York City's highest music award the Handel
Medallion as well as top prizes in Liszt, Busoni, and Casella international
competitions. He records for the London Decca, Sony, Music Masters,
New World, and Audiofon labels.
