Edward Walker
Edward Walker (Lecturer in Voice and French Diction) enjoys a diverse performing career, augmented by experience as a music director, vocal coach/accompanist, and vocal pedagogy. Some performing credits include: the New York premiere of the Yeston/Kopit "Phantom" and the subsequent revival (Count de Chandon), the German-language European tour of the same show, performing the title role, the Original Cast Recording of "Phantom", a European tour of "Evita" (original Broadway production), Peter Patrone in Wendy Wassertein’s "The Heidi Chronicles", Aegean of Syracuse in "The Comedy of Errors", Anthony in "Sweeney Todd"(Vineyard Playhouse), Joey (u/s) in "Most Happy Fella (North Shore Music Theater), appearances with the Poznan and Gdansk (Poland) Symphony Orchestras; at the Franfurt Alte Oper, Zurich Congresshalle, Stuttgart Liederhalle and many other productions and venues.
He is a graduate of the Oberlin Conservatory of Music (B.M. in Vocal Performance) and the Eastman School of Music (M.M. in Voice and Music Literature) where he was a student of the famed mezzo-soprano, Jan DeGaetani. He is currently working on a Masters in International Administration, focusing on the relevance of the arts and the artist in the world; and cultural diplomacy.
