UM Marching Band Information
To: The Members of the “Band of the Hour”

From: M. Dressman

I just wanted to post a brief note expressing my sincere appreciation for your hard work this past week in Phoenix as well as the whole season. Although you were very busy from the time we landed in Phoenix through our departure at 2 in the morning you presented yourselves with professionalism discipline and dignity second to none.

In addition your performances were extra ordinary and I hope will be experiences that you will never forget. Not all people have the opportunity to participate in an activity like band with such and outstanding group of individuals, and I as your director appreciate your hard work, dedication and commitment to excellence. Although you may not always know it, I enjoy every minute I spend with you and hope you enjoy your time in the Band of the Hour.

I don’t very often tell you how much I enjoy being your director, and how much pleasure I get out of everyone of your performances. But I hope you accept my sincere thank-you for the great trip to the Fiesta Bowl and for the great season you had.

I wish I had the opportunity to thank-you in person after the game but the schedule provided by the athletic department did not give me any time to talk with you.

Thank-you again for the great trip to the Fiesta Bowl and I look forward to seeing you all in the spring.

Have great remainder of your vacation be safe and have fun.

M. Dressman
