Ensembles are an integral part of curricular activity at the University of Miami Phillip and Patricia Frost School of Music. More than 50 ensembles are available, offering undergraduate and graduate students a wide variety of performance opportunities. Several of the School's ensembles are frequently invited to perform at national and international conferences. Recent appearances include: the Symphony and Chorale at the Music Educators National Conference national convention; the Wind Ensemble at the College Band Directors National Association Convention; Concert Jazz Band, Jazz Vocal Ensemble I, and the ECM Ensemble at the International Association of Jazz Educators Convention; and the Chorale at the American Choral Directors National Convention. The Symphony, the Chorale, and the Wind Ensemble have all released CDs which include world premieres. Concert Jazz Band has just released its fourth CD and Jazz Vocal Ensemble I has just release its first CD. Although ensemble offerings change from year to year, here is a representative sampling:
