Studio TourMusic Engineering students have access to three audio facilities. They house the hardware and software tools necessary for a hands-on practical education. Together, they promote expertise in cutting edge audio and video production and editing. The L. Austin Weeks Recording Studio contains our main recording studio used daily by Music Engineering students to study and practice multitrack recording. The same building houses the primary Music Engineering computer facility called the "Weeks Lab." Combined, the Weeks Studio and Weeks Lab serve as the principal training ground for students enrolled in the Music Engineering program. Gusman Concert Hall holds an additional studio called the Gusman Media Lab. This studio holds extensive digital mixing and recording facilities, and is used primarily to study and practice 5.1 (surround sound) music recording and video production and editing. Here is the latest version of the Studio Manual (2004).
