Group Piano Classes for the Visually Impaired

The Piano Preparatory Program is proud to announce the opening of a new class within its piano program. This new class will be held exclusively for the visually impaired children who wish to learn to play piano by reading music Braille notation. The goal of this class is to make available and assist visually impaired children in learning basic piano keyboard skills. Classes will begin in September 2005 and will be taught by Ms. Simona Armbruster who created and designed the curriculum. The calendar of activities and classes will follow the standard Piano Preparatory Program schedule. Since all students will be taught how to read music, they will be held to the same standards of the sighted Preparatory students.
