UM MusicTime Camp for Ages 4 ½ to 6 Years Old

Children should be four years & six months old by the first day of camp.  Designed for pre-kindergarten and kindergarten ages, the camp will run Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., July 7 – 11, (Week 1) and July 14 – 18 (Week 2).  Children may register for either or both weeks.  Instruction will integrate music and art activities to increase the child’s awareness of their natural environment.  Because of its landscape and Lake Osceola, the university campus provides a perfect setting for observation of plant and bird life.  A snack will be provided each morning.  Lunch will not be provided.  Fees are $250.00 for one week and $400.00 for two weeks (includes a non-refundable $50.00 deposit to reserve a place). Fees cover a music CD, a book, art supplies, and incidental materials for all activities.

Keyboard Camp Depot for Beginners, Ages 6 to 8 Years Old

The camp is designed for children who are interested in beginning keyboard.  The focus of the curriculum is on keyboard, and students will be using the new computer lab in the technology center on the music campus.  There will be a variety of related musical activities, including singing, movement, drumming, dancing, and rhythmic and tonal patterning.  The instruction will also integrate music and art activities that heighten the awareness of the natural environment.  Because of the landscape and Lake Osceola, the university campus provides a perfect setting for observation of plant and bird life.  A snack will be provided each morning.  Lunch will not be provided.  The maximum number of students is 14; space will be allocated on a “first come, first serve” basis.  This camp is two weeks long, July 7 – 18, Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.  Fees for Keyboard Camp, including tuition and materials, is $500.00 for the two weeks (includes a non-refundable $50.00 deposit to reserve a place).
